Melting and dispensing the coconut oil: As this Virgin Coconut Oil is unrefined and cold-pressed, it is solid at room temperature, with a melting point at around 25 degrees C. For quick basic use you can use an ice-cream scoop or melt by placing the pail on a trickle-heat mat for 12-24 hours. Heat to between 25 to 40 degrees C for melting purposes to emulate native tropical source temperatures while retaining natural characteristics of the oil.
