This is probably the simplest and purest soap of any kind that you will ever find. We take unrefined virgin coconut oil and use a traditional cold-process method to form loaves of soap. After slicing into bars the soap is cured for 4-6 weeks.
Any soap is only as good as its base oil, so it's no surprise that a soap made from fresh picked coconuts would result in something this special. Thick and creamy bubbles are the hallmark of our virgin coconut oil soap bars due to the natural foaming properties of coconut oil brings to the soap making process.
Your skin is only as good as what you cleanse it with and this has lead to a search for the purest soap available. With nothing added, this soap goes to prove the old saying that "less is more".
Mild enough to use on the face and with a velvety foam, you'll notice that the soap washes off quickly leaving no drying alkali residue after rinsing.

Unlike other plant based soaps, ours contain no palm oil. The base fat is virgin coconut oil with no other oils added.
How is the soap made?
We use a traditional cold process method. Virgin Coconut Oil is blended with a lye/water solution causing a chemical process called saponification. Once the mixture thickens into a rich soap liquid, it's poured into loaf moulds and put away to continue saponifying for 24 hours. After this, the loaves have become more solid and are taken out, sliced into bars and racked to cure for 4-6 weeks in a warm dark ventilated environment. During the curing, the moisture continues evaporating and the bars further saponify and harden. Once cured, the bars of virgin coconut oil soap are finished and ready to use!
Why not make the soap using refined coconut oil instead?
The reason we use cold-pressed Virgin coconut oil is simply that its higher quality makes a better soap. It's the star of the show, the showcase ingredient, the pièce de résistance.
Lauric acid has long been recognised for the unique properties it brings to the production of soaps and high-end cosmetics. Because our virgin coconut oil has a 50% Lauric acid content it provides the ideal base oil. Known to have revitalising properties for the skin - containing antioxidants and phytonutrients, our virgin coconut oil is cold-pressed and has a Lauric Acid content of 50% to help soften the skin, preventing dryness and flaking. Suitable for cleansing face and body.
Useful for: Sensitive skin and frequent washers - virgin coconut oil's moisturising qualities means this soap will not dry your skin like other soaps can. Fewer ingredients (just one!) means no reaction to additives because there aren't any!

Cleanses and Moisturises in one go:
The oil of fresh-picked coconuts is saponified using the traditional soap making method of fat and lye to make the soap. After the soap cures over a six week period, just one ingredient remains - saponified virgin coconut oil. The secret to making such a pure soap is that virgin coconut oil takes well to "superfatting" which uses a generous amount of our virgin coconut oil in the soap-making process, resulting in an extra-moisturising, rich-lathering soap. Prepare to order more once you have experienced it.
Directions: Wet your hands and soap then work up into a rich lather. Apply to wet skin and massage the lather until cleansed. Rinse off with warm water. Suitable for everyday use.
